Floral Hills Memorial Gardens
|
Zach’s Run Road Floral Hills Memorial Gardens was started in 1953 by a company based out of Kansas City, Missouri (Memorial Gardens Associates). They purchased a local dairy farm and turned it into a beautiful cemetery. The cemetery was started with two developed gardens, Garden of Gethsemane and Garden of Devotion and eventually added two more developed gardens, Sermon on The Mount and Last Supper. This was all developed burial property until after 1980. Since 1980 we have added The Good Shepherd Garden, which is our lawn crypt garden, Veterans Garden, Old Rugged Cross Garden, and Serenity Garden (our upright section). We have two chapel mausoleums and three garden mausoleums and a pet garden. Budge and Fudge Mayes (well know local radio personalities as the Mayes Brothers) are buried here. Our cemetery is one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the area. Its is well maintained with our perpetual care. Beautiful trees outline the gardens, giving the cemetery character as the seasons change. Our background of wooded mountains bring peace and wildlife to our cemetery. |
