Greenlawn Cemetery was established in 1947 and is located in Montgomery, PA. We take pride in our beautiful gardens, where the monuments stand majestically in the midst as sentinels, watching over those at rest, as if guarding them. We have six gardens: the Gardens of Christis, Prayer, Honor, Peace, The Last Supper, and The Cross. A paved road meanders through the burial spots, beginning at the entrance, where a statue of Christ in the Garden of Christis stands. It is made of white stone and intricately carved to capture every facial detail. A short distance from Christis, in the Garden of Prayer, is another stone carving of the open Bible, turned to Ecclesiastes 3:1. The verse reads: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die.”

Further along the paved pathway is a small wooden chapel without any sidewalks. Its row of pews faces yet another statue of Christ in the corner. Outside, past the chapel, are the gardens of Honor and Peace for veterans and their families. Placed in those gardens are an anvil and a plow, signifying swords being beaten into plowshares. A monument in the Garden of Peace depicts the often-quoted Psalms 23, or “The Lord’s Prayer.” At the front of The Garden of the Last Supper is a bronze impression of Christ and his disciples sharing one last meal. By far, the greatest section is The Garden of the Cross, or the old rugged cross, visible from nearly every vantage point in the park. Greenlawn offers a place to memorialize your loved ones in a quiet, simple, yet elegant character.

Our services include traditional burials, cremation, lawn crypts and niches.

Resting on the west side of the Susquehanna River is Green Lawn Memorial Park. Rushing waters and peaceful landscape make Green Lawn Memorial Park a great choice if you are looking for a Lycoming County cemetery, Montgomery cemetery, Williamsport cemetery, Montoursville cemetery, or South Williamsport cemetery.
