Parklawn Memorial Gardens, resting on land that was originally a farm, is located along U.S. 219, about four-and-a-half miles south of the Ridgway Borough. The cemetery was chartered in 1963, but the first recorded burial was the burial of Harry C. Law, Jr., in October of 1960. Later the same year, his infant sister Carolyn, who died in 1921, was interred at Parklawn. To date, we have had 1,386 burials on our small seventeen-acres. Approximately eight acres are developed, with two acres used for storage and office buildings, and another seven acres that are not yet developed. One of the main features of Parklawn is the Veterans Star Memorial, which consists of twenty-five double-depth burial spaces. Five spaces each are allocated to the various branches of the service (Navy, Army, Air Force, Marine and All Branches). We also have a special section for lawn crypts, containing thirty-two spaces available at the present time, with room to expand. Our mausoleum was constructed in 1983 with two hundred-sixteen burial spaces and thirty-two cremation niches. Parklawn Memorial Gardens rests in the quaint town of Ridgway, PA. Founded in 1963, Parklawn Memorial Gardens provide beautiful and peaceful landscapes, plus top notch service. If you are looking for an Elk County cemetery, Ridgway cemetery, St. Mary’s cemetery, or Johnsonburg cemetery then you should consider Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
