Resthaven Memorial Park
|
1917 W. Main Street Resthaven Memorial Park is located in the center of Princeton, WV. It is approximately 50 acres of rolling hills, beautiful trees such as oak, evergreens and maple. Resthaven also has a man-made stone entrance with beautiful gardens on either side. One of our main attractions is our Civil War Garden dedicated to the memory of the soldiers who fought in that conflict. Although there are mostly Confederate soldiers interred here, we also have some Union soldiers. This garden was established in 1863 during this time in American History. We also offer a Veteran’s Garden for all who have served the United States of America. We offer a mausoleum of great beauty with a portico with tall, white columns facing the east as the main entrance. We also offer a lawn crypt garden. Also our “Faithful Companions” gardens are the only pet cemetery in Mercer County. Walking through Resthaven Memorial Park you will enjoy the peace and serenity amidst the bustling of the city that surrounds us. |
