Restlawn Memory Gardens is especially beautiful because it is located on the top of a knoll and is surrounded by rolling hills, mountains and valleys. The cemetery offers a tranquil atmosphere. It was established in 1954 with forty acres of which only fifteen acres are developed. Restlawn is located 7 miles outside of Salem, Oregon, the state capitol, as well as neighboring many parks in the Salem area.
There are three Mausoleums, one Cremation Garden, nine traditional Burial Gardens, and one Pet Cemetery Garden. Our newest garden is our first upright monument garden which is being very well received by the community.
We are fortunate to have been able to serve some very famous families: Jacob DeShazer, who took part in the Doolittle Raid and was a Japanese prisoner of war; Frank Howard James’ father was the son of Jesse James; and Sergeant Donald Ralph Walters died in the Jessica Lynch ambush in Desert Storm.
