Rosewood Memorial Gardens opened in approximately 1958 under the name Sunset Memory Gardens. Located on the outskirts of the town of Rural Retreat, Virginia, the cemetery is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains providing a beautiful and natural landscape. Rosewood Memorial Gardens consists of approximately 15.5 developed acres.

There are four burial gardens, one of which is dedicated to veterans, equipped with a beautiful eagle statue as well as a flag for each branch of the military. The mausoleum is the crown of the cemetery, sitting on top of the hill over-looking the cemetery.

Rosewood has dedicated itself to restoring the confidence and relationships with its families that was enjoyed when it first opened in 1958. We have made progress in this area and will continue to make our families our #1 priority.
