Woodlawn Memorial Park is located in Allentown, in Lehigh County, Pa. It is adjacent to Bethlehem, 90 miles from New York City, and 50 miles from Philadelphia. The cemetery itself consists of four religious gardens, all of which contain impressive monument work, and a very beautiful section dedicated to our veterans, as well as a newly added community mausoleum, and private estate section. We take pride in being non-sectarian, and serving all people. We have over 20 developed acres, with 35 acres to be developed as needed. We continue improving the park by expanding sections for upright monuments and mausoleums of every size. Today, the cemetery handles approximately 100 burials a year, and has a full staff, including a family service counselor. The cemetery is situated high on a slope, richly endowed in natural beauty and commands a sweeping view with its broad lawns, bright flowers, and varied evergreens. With these aspects in mind, Woodlawn continues to be a very tranquil, peaceful final resting place for many local families. The original statement made to entice families in the 1950s to select Woodlawn for their pre-arrangement needs are documented as follows: “Woodlawn is Allentown’s only beautiful garden of memories and a burial estate where the names and memories of our loved ones shall live forever.” Although it is no longer the only burial estate within the city, the latter still applies: Woodlawn is a place where “the names and memories of our loved ones shall live forever.” Woodlawn Memorial Park rests in Allentown, PA and is nestled on the beautiful and tranquil banks of the Lehigh River.
